The Next Day

Flashes of colors went through her mind as Avidea laied in bed, sound asleep. She was running, running on a feild of colors that were too vivid, too real.
The wet stain of red among the darkened field wasn't what scared her though, it was the people behind her. They were getting closer. Avidea wanted to run faster, but each stride she took felt like she was pushing through honey. Closer and closer they got, untill....

RANT RANT RANT RANT RANT RANT RANT RANT

Avidea suddenly sat up, gasping. She looked around her dark room, then at her alarm.

09:00:23am it said.

She groaned and hit the button ontop of the alarm. The button, while turning the alarm off, also turned the rooms lights on. She sighed and laied back down, trying to calm her raceing heart down.

After a moment she turned back to the clock reading:

09:05:49am

She finaly pushed herself into a sitting position and slid off her bed. It was only then she noticed that a knocking sound was comming from her door. She reached up onto a shelf above her bed, and grabbed her robe. Slipping it on, she padded bear-footed over to the door, opening it.

"-What-?" She asked the messenger infront of her.

Dalith wanders throughout an endless plane following a single dirt path, no one in sight, blasters in hand.He comes to a fork in the road, both leading toward another path unknown. A man appears.

"Which way, which way, time is running out. Which way.." The old man repeats this line constantly. Dalith grabs his head, darkness begins to engulf the landscape swallowing everything.

When he puts his head up everything is gone, he falls into nothingness. Fading, drifting away. Until, a muffled sound is heard, getting louder, and louder until a flash of light suffuses the darkness...His head jerks up, and he finds himself awoken in his chamber on board the Raven Eclipse.

Avidea took the peice of paper from the messenger and slammed her door shut. Letting the paper fall to the floor she went into her bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror.

Damn it Avidea, you look awful. No more late nights drinking for you.

She turned on the water from the sink, cupping her hands undernethe the waterspout as water pooled in her hands. She splashed the water onto her face, the cold water running down the front of her chest. She continued to do this, untill she was fully awakend. Grabbing a towel, she wiped her face dry.

Walking out of the bathroom, she slipped out of the robe. Slipping a light tanktop on, along with a pair of leather pants. Latching the straps loosely around and between her legs she then sat down, pulling her boots onto her feet.

She stood back up, bending down to pick her blaster up off the floor and slipped it into its hoister where it belonged. Without bothering to pick up the messengers paper, or even read it - nore brush her ratsnest of hair, she walked outside into the dim hall, locking her door behind her.

Dalith rises from the bed, muttering the phrase "Power on." as he does so. The whole of the chamber's lights illuminate instantaniously as he says that.

He walks over to the sink and mirror conviniently placed a few steps from his bed, and stares at himself for a moment, he removes a knife from a sheath in the wall (Yes he keeps knife sheaths in walls, 'cause you never know)) and twirls it around his hand with his fingers with efficiency born of years of practice. He forgo's his knife in place of a metallic comb which he swiftly runs through his hair, returning it to it's usual form.

Once satisfied, he slides on a light cloth shirt and pants. He then puts on a black over shirt and armor, all of which made of leather sometimes mixed with metal. He then slides on his everyday light, jet black, armor. The same armor he wore the night before.

He walks toward the door to his chamber, opening it with the touch of a button. Dalith walks into another room, touching a button on the wall. Three wall panel's retract revealing an arsenal of weaponry, he grabs the exact same weapons as the night before. A vibro knife and a heavily modified blaster pistol.

Dalith then walks toward the main hanger of the Raven Eclipse and opens the main entryway to the ship. Warm Ord Mantel air suffusing the hanger...

Avidea yawned, walking down the dim hallway. As she walked, she absently pulled her fingers through her tangled hair as she made her way to the large metal door leading outside.

As she walked closer to the doors, the automaticly opened for her. Allowing the humaid air of Ord Mantell to wash over her body.

She walked over to a conviently placed speeder parked just outside the door. She didn't care who it belonged to. Entering a standerized code, she sped off. Straight towards the training grounds.

Dalith walks to the back of the hanger, climbing onto a modified black speeder. His modified black speeder. He starts it, inputting a passcode. He drives off toward the base/town/whatever-it-is, sliding his helm over his face.

As he speeds off, he observes the landscape of the planet sprinting by. It is interupted when another speeder goes by, he looks back and sees a familier figure riding atop it. He raises an eyebrow, thinking "Is that, Avidea..?". He then swerves the speeder around, in a one-hundred and eighty degree turn taking off following the other speeder to wherever he/she is going.

Avidea grinned as she sped across the dry land. The humiad air letting her long hair stream out behind her. She tilted her head to the right, feeling a loud pop comming from her neck. Then then tilted her head to the left, hearing another loud pop.

The training grounds finaly came into view. She pressed a few buttons causeing the speeder to begin to slow down. She stood up as it continued to move, jummping off of it as it still rushed twords its destination. Rolling to break her fall she quickly stood back up, her long legs quickly starting in a long sprint as she begins running the rest of the way.

Dalith, continued to follow the person until a series of structures came into view. The person seemingly jumping off her speeder to run the rest of the way. Dalith thinks to himself "..Only Avidea would do something that..out of the ordinary.". Dalith, before getting any closer to the camp ducks his speeder behind a conviniently placed row of buildings stretching toward the camp.

Dalith stops the speeder when he is next to the camp, but stil conceiled by the buildings. He exits the speeder, activating it's cloaking device. Dalith begins to walk toward the camp.

Avidea continued to run as fast as she can, not even beginning to pant. As she got to a fenced off area with a bunch of shooting targets she drew her blaster, fireing with deadly accuracy in the center of each target as she ran.

Grinning at her sucess she ran inside the building near by. Slowing to a walk. Putting her blaster inside a small cubby she streatched her arms up twoards the sky. Then bends down, touching the ground to stretch out her legs. Cracking her neck once more she walked to a padded area, where other troopers were already pounding the living shit out of each other. She climbed over the padded wall, and sat ontop of it. Waiting for her turn.

Dalith, emerges from the shadow of the looming buildings wincing at the strong sun in this area. He observes what he thinks is a training camp. Troopers fireing at targets, and beating on each other being a common practice it seemed. Dalith takes a step forward but then stops as he sees Avidea about twenty feat infront of him, fireing at numerous targets.

He smiled as he noticed her sucess "So, she thinks she is a badass now aswell? Hmmph, i'll have to test that theory.". He wanders over to the area where the troopers continue beating on each other, the one on the left now seemingly gaining the upper hand. He jumps up, scaling the padded wall in a matter of mili-seconds. He takes a seat next to Avidea well, next to but several feet away.

She probably wouldn't notice him at this point over the boisterous atmosphere of the camp. He would observe the troopers again. He tears his gaze away from the fight and back to Avidea, projecting his voice somewhat as to be heard over the group "Hmmph, well this isn't a bit like yesterday, eh?"

Avidea let out a shout of encouragement for the guy on the left as he landed a painful sounding smack undernethe the other guys chin.

She looked over to the man from the night before, blinking.

How'd he get here?

She just grinned and leaned back, looking up.

"Oh no, its very much the same. You're still following me."

She laughs, clearly in a good mood.

Dalith smirks, looking out onto the battle yet again. He then turns back to Avidea "Follow you? As if. I call it, a series of coincidences..Anyways, how are you?" he says in a normal tone. He adjusts his position on the wall, obviously not that comfortable sitting on walls.

Avidea laughed, standing up ontop of the thin wall, walking along it with great balance tworads him. Sitting down beside him.

"I'm well." She said, letting her legs swing off the ledge as she watched the two continue to fight.

A sudden wind flows through the area, coating everything with another layer of orange dust.

"And, I don't believen Coincidences."

Dalith, looks forward after saying his line, closing his eyes momentarily. He reopens them suddenly as she sits down beside him.
Dalith speaks again "Really now? You should, for they happen. All the time."

"Do they now? Are you sure about that?"

Her smiled seemed friendly enough, she continued to look at him with her green eyes.

"Is it a coincidence that that guy over there -'s jaw is broken?"

Dalith, laughs somewhat at her comment. He looks at the man, he speaks again.

"Nah, that is a combination of karma, bad luck and stupidity."
Dalith keeps his gaze fixed upon the battle below, the trooper on the right now kicking the trooper on the left to the ground. The crowd cheers wildly.

Avidea laughed then jumpped down. Walking into the battle ring. "Alright Josh, this man's had enough. Show me what you're made of."

She waved two other men down to help the poor man up and out. She then took her place along the mat, grinning at the trooper infront of her. She stole a look to Dalith, winking once.

"Avi', just because you're a girl, don't expect me to go easy on you." Josh said.

Avidea just laughed, looking back at him. "Give me all you got. I don't expect you to go easy."

Josh shrugged, suddenly jumping at her. Avidea just casualy side stepped out of his way. Wrapping an arm around Josh's neck and kicking his legs out from under him. Releaseing the big man just as he fell backward to the ground.

"Best two out of three?" She grined wickedly.

Dalith watches Avidea as she jumps down toward the ring. He winks back when she looks at him.

He watches Avidea take the trooper down, and laughs brightly when his face meets the dirt. He applauds, still smiling. The crowd howls with both laughter and praise.

He looks at Avidea again, a dumb grin on his face.

Josh picked himself up. Grabbing Avidea's hair as he did, yanking her head back hard. Avidea heard herself wince as she is forced to arch her back to keep some of the pressure off of her hair. Almost upside down, her green eyes met Joshes. She then leaned back farther, letting him think that he had controll over her. She put her hands against the hard mat, then pushed her legs over. Her tanktop slipping down, showing a bit of her stomach. She wrapped her legs around Josh's thick neck. Now officaly upside down, she pulls him forward, over her body. Throwing him into the wall Dalith was sitting on, standing up in the process. She wiped her hands on her pants, pulling her tanktop back down.

"I thought you said you wern't going to go easy on me?" She laughed.

Dalith watches the proceedings, wincing slightly himself as the man (he nicknamed the ogre) grabbed Avidea's hair. When Dalith catches a glimpse of Avidea's stomach his gaze lingers there for a moment, he then scolds himself. When Ogre is launched into the wall, he braces himself as the weak wall shakes, he then looks at Avidea with a dumb grin similer to that last one.

Avidea chuckled at Dalith's grin. Walking to Josh and offering him a hand up.
He gladly took the help, haveing hit his head pretty hard. She helped him over to the others, who took him away, jokeing with him.

Avidea went back over to the wall, pushing herself back up ontop of it.

"Well, that was entertaining."

alith nods, smiling still. "No kidding. It is apparent you believe yourself to have an aura of complete badassery surrounding you.". Dalith chuckles.

"Its cute.".

Dalith looks onto the crowd, who are now hastily choosing their next two combatents.

Avidea gently punched his shoulder, "Whats that suppost to mean? Hm?"

Dalith turns to face her, smiling like an asshole. "What do you think it means? Avidea?"

Avidea's opens her mouth to say something, but the dosn't get the words out. She instead proceeds to hit his shoulder harder this time. She hopped off the wall and walked away.
